EV Fleet Operators
Learn how Transight's partnership with the EV industry leader changed the game in EV data management, benefiting the entire sector and driving innovation.
Electric vehicles (EVs) and their batteries are built by many different manufacturers. Each one uses its own way of sending data inside the vehicle, a system called CAN (Controller Area Network). The problem? None of them use the same format.
This creates three big headaches

Transight built a telematics device that acts like a universal translator for EV datas.
Instead of a rigid, one-size-fits-all box, we created a device with an Embedded Intelligence Layer a smart system that automatically adapts to whichever vehicle it’s connected to. Plug it into any EV, and it figures out how to read that vehicle’s data, no matter what format it’s in.
Think of it this way: if every EV brand speaks a different language, Transight’s device is a real-time interpreter that understands all of them.

Here’s what makes the device work under the hood:
Our devices are designed to connect with any EV system, regardless of the data format used. It doesn’t matter who made the vehicle or the battery the device will handshake (establish a connection) with it.
Traditional telematics devices have fixed software they can only read one type of CAN data. Transight’s device is different. It has a configurable CAN controller, which means:

Transight didn’t just deliver a tracking device. We delivered what the industry calls a Rosetta Stone for EV data a single device that can read and translate any vehicle’s language into useful, standardised information. This project proves something important: the fact that every EV brand uses a different data format doesn’t have to be a barrier. With the right technology, it becomes a solved problem.
The result is better interoperability between different vehicle brands, faster fleet expansion, and a foundation for long-term innovation in electric mobility and battery management.
